On their third EP Loviatar continue to explore themes of fantasy and myth with the opening track Curse of the Hamadryad, a song written from the perspective of a Greek forest spirit condemning humankind for its wanton destruction of the environment. It is followed by a moody, melodic instrumental (Elephant Graveyard) that sets up a crushing finale of traditional doom riffage in the form of Frost Druid, a song that blends imagery of the ancient European mystics with the story of Indigenous hunters from Canada’s northern tundra.
