The first recording made at their own Wolf Lake Studios, the band’s fourth release sees them taking their heavy explorations into gloomier territory. Opener Diva Triformis, a song about the Greco-Roman goddesses of fate, begins with a haunting arpeggio before a wall of guitars crash down and build back up to a massive crescendo. It is followed by Apostate (Hymn of the Heretic), a bludgeoning fray of post-metal psychedelia written from the perspective of a non-believer in a society still anchored to religious and spiritual beliefs.
